Life often treats us... the way we treat it
Another 'wow' moment. Life often treats me the way I treat it. Okay, from health to wealth, I have a lot to do with the outcomes. I have to admit this. I have complained about--and spoken out loud innumerable times--that I have to lose 10 lbs. Recently, I listened to myself say these words again for the umpteenth time and I really got irritated. I admitted that I had been saying this and thinking about it for 10 years, but no real action plan or deep commitment to make it happen. I repeated to myself: "If it is going to be, it is up to me." Now, I affirm this to myself for every undertaking, challenge, etc, but never for my own weight loss and subsequent healthier lifestyle. How many times do we wish for things we are not willing to put the work in to obtain? Okay, that is a question for next time. So with the extra 10 lbs is concerns for mobility, comfort, cholesterol (and other numbers), longevity and so many other things. While thinking about my own weight challenge and lax attitude, I also thought of how life does treat us the way we treat it. Consider these: love. faith. gratitude. attitude. rest. exercise. hope. peace. (eating clean). lifestyle. I look in the mirror and say 'I am thankful" countless times. I look to heaven and say "Thank you Dear Father God." I look at my life and I am more and more grateful....practicing gratitude. Treat life well because you are treating yourself.
