I Can’t Stop Asking Better Questions

I have reached a place in life where I am asking more questions. Not just why? but what? when? how? and what now?
I’m less interested in having all the answers and more interested in whether I’m asking the right questions. I can't stop looking for better questions.
For me, it is about staying curious.
Curiosity creates energy. It makes me want to know more, understand more, listen more closely, and keep learning. But curiosity is more than wanting to know something. It is also being willing to think about what we hear, what we read, what we assume, and what we may not have considered.
A good question can help us do that. Sometimes I think that's our superpower! We have a voice, language, and the ability to ask questions.
There is always something else to learn, something I haven’t considered, someone who knows something I don’t, or another way of looking at something I thought I understood.
So I ask questions.
What am I missing?
How does that work?
What made you think of that?
What could we do differently?
Questions make conversations more interesting. They help us move beyond assumptions. They give us access to other people’s experiences, knowledge, ideas, and perspectives.
And sometimes one good question can take a conversation somewhere neither person expected it to go.
I like that. No, I absolutely love that!
I’ve also learned that changing the question can change what we discover.
Instead of only asking, Why didn’t this work? we can ask, What did we learn?
Instead of, Who is that? we might ask, What’s your name? We can ask, What’s your superpower? No telling where the conversation will go.
That is part of critical thinking too. We don’t have to accept the first answer, assume we have all the information, or believe our perspective is the only one worth considering.
And this isn’t about questioning everything or sending ourselves down a rabbit hole looking for deeper meaning in every decision.
It is much simpler than that.
Stay curious. Keep learning. Ask another question.
Because asking good questions isn’t about questioning everything. It is about thinking beyond the first answer, looking a little closer, and being willing to learn something you didn’t know before.
Sometimes, better thinking begins with a better question.
So, as always...in these days of ever-evolving technology, remember that a conversation is STILL the most powerful communication on the planet!
