you are not behind

Let’s be real—it’s easy to get distracted by what you think you see other people doing. They’re launching something new, celebrating another win, hopping on a flight to somewhere beautiful, or posting progress that makes you pause and ask yourself, “Am I behind?”
But here’s the truth—you’re only seeing a glimpse. You don’t know the full story: the backstory, the motive, the timing, or the grace that’s carrying them through it. You’re looking through a keyhole and assuming you’ve seen the whole room.
Clarity has been my word for years now, and it’s weighing on me even more this season. I’m talking about it, writing about it, and yes—still learning from it. Because real clarity doesn’t compare. It doesn’t measure itself against someone else’s pace. It learns to wish others well, then turn its eyes forward. What God is building in you needs your full attention—no borrowed focus, no side glances.
“You’re looking through a keyhole and assuming you’ve seen the whole room.”
You’ve heard this before, but let it settle a little deeper today: comparison is a thief. It’s a dream-killer, a paralyzer, a depressor—not a motivator. It drains focus, breeds doubt, and stirs tension where peace should live. Your purpose won’t grow by looking sideways; it expands by staying steady, rooted, and faithful right where you are.

You are not behind. Be present. Be focused. Eyes forward and fixed on Jesus Christ—the author and finisher of our faith. Our faith is the core of who we are, not a Sunday outfit we take off and hang up. It’s meant to be lived, breathed, and walked out in every part of life.
Let God handle what He’s doing in them. You handle what He’s doing in you.
Clarity Thought: Focus is a form of faith. When you fix your eyes on what God has assigned you to do, you’re saying, “I trust His plan for my life.”
